Purpose

To honor webmasters who have excellent websites
To honor websites that are excellent in all aspects

The purpose of the Circus World Awards Program is to honor those webmasters who show excellence in all areas of web site design. These areas include: the site's underlying structure (page code, navigation, etc.), site layout/appearance, content, consistency, and appropriate usage of color. Technical merit and "evident thoughtfulness" is just as important as how a site "feels."

My judging of sites has become more specific to a site's layout, content and appearance, rather than how a site "feels." More emphasis is now placed on technical merit and "evident thoughtfulness" during the creation of a site. While the "feel" of a site is still important, the underlying structure and content of the site is crucial to presentation of any of my awards.
